If you're lucky enough to spend 5+ nights in Paris, I highly recommend renting an apartment. You'll have more space than at a hotel, can buy fresh foods (and breads!!) and cook (if you want). You can also select the amenities you'd like - internet, view, washer/dryer. etc.

Our apartment had a small bedroom, bathroom with tub, living room with TV, stereo, and internet connection, kitchen with all appliances including washer/dryer. We were in a quiet building, nice location convenient to transportation, etc. We had a view over an inner courtyard.

There are several companies that rent apartments so make sure to get recommendations from other travellers. Some companies do require that you pay the entire cost upfront so be sure you're dealing with someone reputable. We went through a private renter using www.vrbo.com. (We've used them several times with no problems.) You can also check www.homeaway.com.
