A most enjoyable stay in this stunning hotel - bedroom and bathroom large, stylish, comfortable and spotless with excellent facilities. Bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and Wow! that huge plasma TV!! Check-in and -out were easy and fast, transport is very simple with so many subway lines within 50 yards or so. Food/drink very pricey so we ate out - there are literally dozens of cafes and restaurants surrounding the hotel. Many sights and attractions are a short stroll away eg South St seaport, Battery Park & ferry terminal, City Hall, Wall St. This hotel does the Hilton chain proud, and is far superior to the over-priced, grubby hotels of midtown.
Unique Qualities: Of course, your room will probably overlook Ground Zero which might not be everyone's first choice; I, however, found it inspiring to see the work begin on the new World Trade Center complex, which will surely stand as a beacon for freedom in the fight against terror and a tribute to the heroes of 9/11.
