Alaska | Moose on base- OUTSIDE our dorms! |
I spent a year stationed in Alaska- one of the most beautiful and natural states I've ever visited. Denali Park is full of wildlife at every corner, and for as far as the eye can see. From bears to eagles, it's definately worth the trip and time to spend in the park. Anchorage trips also have numerous trips for the nature seeker. I took a trip with a friend out to see the glaciers. They are enormous and wonderful- you hear the crackling of the glacier as it breaks and falls into the icey water below. Sea Otters lounge around in the water below, playing about and ignore all around them. Aside from the 6 months of darkness, and 6 months of daylight, there are many wonderful things to see in Alaska. Don't forget the white water rafting, wither- that was a GREAT time, as long as you can keep your friends from falling OUT of the raft! |
