Arizona and New Mexico Wanderer I was born in the hot desert town of Tucson Arizona but didn't really stay long. I was a child of a military family. My Step-Father was in the US Navy and also in the US Air Force. We soon moved to Roswell New Mexico. My stepdad was at Walker AFB. It was very interesting during the tour at Walker AFB. I had the opportunity to meet many friends, some of which I communicate with today. Roswell was a small southwest town of around 18000 when I was there. The town never really grew much but there was always something to do. The desert held many things to explore...the Indian artifacts, the plant life, the history of Billy the Kid and the old southwest was always on ones mind. A kid could always go exploring. |
