Limbricht

Deep in the south of Holland, in the province of Limburg live a unique folk who don't even consider themselves as Dutch. They prefer to be known as Limburgers and they speak a dialect that is neither Dutch nor German but somewhere in between and is understood only among themselves.

Kasteel Limbricht

Kasteel Limbricht is scenically situated in a forest on the outskirts of the samll village of Limburg. Construction began during the 13th century but most of what you can see today dates from the 17th century.

Southern Limburg

If you head north-west from Sittard you will notice that I have circled the location for Kasteel Limbricht on the map.

Robert, you're making me regret that I cut short a trip to this place last year! It's so lovely over here.

You know, Robert... before I had the chance to visit the Netherlands, I wondered why so many great artists lived there. But, the country's beauty speaks for itself. Very nice photos my friend.
