Restaurant Name: CBD Restaurant

The CBD Restaurant Bar is located at street level on the ground floor of Rydges Hotel in Perth's CBD. There is an open bar area and a feature pizza oven. The menu at CBD changes seasonally to offer the freshest food from Western Australia. There is also an excellent range of local wines.

Open seven days from 6.00am.

Favorite Dish: I ordered a rare thick cut juicy and tender sirloin steak with a side Caesar salad which cost around $40. All washed down with a few glasses of Cape Clairault Cabernet Sauvignon.

Restaurant Name: Bella Vita

The Bella Vita is located in the very popular Northbridge area where you will be spoilt for choice with places to dine.

The small group I was with at the time unanimously chose the Bella Vita because the mainly Italian menu seemed very appealing to our very hungry selves.

There was also a well stocked bar where you can sit and relax with a cold beer or a good selection of local wines before being seated at your table.

The service wasn't particularly quick but I really couldn't fault the staff for their friendliness.

Favorite Dish: I chose a rare eye fillet cooked to perfection and topped with creamy giant garlic prawns and sauteed fresh vegetables.

Thumbs up to the chef!

Restaurant Name: Matilda Bay Restaurant

The Matilda Bay Restaurant is situated on the banks of the Swan River next to the Royal Perth Yacht Club.

You can enjoy magnificant views of Perth's skyline across the waters of Matilda Bay.

Favorite Dish: I really enjoyed the main course of tender, rare, grain fed Harvey Beef with a succulent rack of premium Amelia Park lamb. Both served on creamed potatoes with a shared side platter of freshly cooked vegetables.

Restaurant Name: Cafe Bellavista

Cafe Bellavista is a fully licensed restaurant located within Baileys Hotel Motel in East Perth. They offer an Italian/Mediterranean style menu with goodquality food at affordable prices.

You have a choice of either alfresco with a park view or inside dining. The service is very friendly and relaxed and the manager, Sandro Signorile may even sing the menu to you. There is also non stop music on several wide screens placed around the restaurant.

Sorry folks... there aren't any pictures here because yours truly forgot to take his camera!

Favorite Dish: I enjoyed a tender T-Bone steak topped with mushroom sauce and served with chips and salad.

Restaurant Name: Little Creatures

The Little Creatures Brewery is a locally owned an operated micro brewery. It is well situated with a rustic ambience and decor inside a big boat shed on the Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle.

The brewery is completely open for inspection and the delicious beers are poured straight from the tanks!

The restaurant is open all day and bookings are not required so you can just wander in whenever you like.

The bar and restaurant is open 7 days a week from 10am to midnight Mon-Fri.
Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to midnight.

Favorite Dish: My favourite dish was the chilli mussels still in the shell still swimming in a spicy and rich chilli sauce. My only regret was that there wasn't enough bread to sop up the spicy juices!

The marinated octopus was also quite nice but I found it to be a tad sweet for my taste.

You're spoilt for choice when it comes to their own wood fired pizza's and I can thoroughly recommend the harissa spiced lamb with melenzana and feta. Also highly recommended is the prawn with coriander pesto and shiitake mushrooms.
