Getting TO/AROUND: The EZ-Link card card can be used for both the SMRT & SBS Transit. You can buy an EZ-Link card at any MRT station for S$15.
This includes a S$3 deposit which is refunded when you return the card. There is a non-refundable amount of S$5 for the card cost and a travel value of S$7 to start with.
The minimum top-up is S$10. Any unused value is refundable as well."Last train to Boon Lay, If you wanna go home. Don't hop off at Lakeside, It's a long walk alone." ~robertgaz~

Getting TO/AROUND: There are a number of airlines that fly from Perth to Singapore.
Qantas and Singapore Airlines are the most popular but Malaysia Airlines and Royal Brunei Airlines also have very competitive prices.
We chose to fly Qantas because the flight times were the most family friendly. Departure from Perth was at lunchtime and arrived in Singapore in time for dinner.
And that's very important when you're travelling with hungry kids.

Getting TO/AROUND: When I landed at Changi Airport at about 3am I still needed to find my way across the border to Senai Airport near Johor Bahru for our connecting flight to KL.
When I started planning my trip to KL I found that it was far cheaper to fly there from Senai, near Johor Bahru, rather than directly from Singapore.
Normal Singaporean taxis are not allowed to cross into Malaysia or vice versa. But there is a taxi service between the Queen Street bus depot in Singapore that will take you directly to Senai Airport for $S60.
The service is owned by Mr Heng Fook Jin who can be contacted on his mobile +6012-738 9122.imstress was kind enough to call him in advance on my behalf to meet me in Singapore.
I caught a taxi from Changi Airport on arrival to take me to the Queen Street depot where Mr Heng Fook Jin was already waiting for me at 4:00am. From there he took us over the Causeway, through customs and straight to Senai Airport.
For our return trip, I called him just before departing from KL to meet us at Senai Airport and taking us to Singapore again.

Getting TO/AROUND: Once you have found your way to Changi Airport from your accommodation and you are flying with Tiger Airways, you will still need to find your way to the Budget Terminal.
There is a free shuttle that will take you there and it leaves from the Terminal 2 exit so just follow the signs there.
