Singapore Zoo Zoological Gardens & Night Safari Review

Singapore Zoo is one of the best open concept to be found anywhere and the world's first night safari is right next door.

It does make for a long day to do both of these attractions but it's well worth the effort.

Tip: It's more economical to buy yourself a 3 park pass which will get you to the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and Jurong Bird Park.

I have added additional photos on a separate Singapore Travelogue.

Address: 80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729826

Directions: Take the MRT to Ang Mo Kio station; alight and take bus SBS 138 to Singapore Zoo.

Nocturnal neighbours (webpic)

Night Safari Zoological Gardens & Night Safari Review

Situated right next to Singapore Zoo and covering an area of about 40 hectares, Night Safari is the worlds only nocturnal wildlife park.

More than 130 nocturnal species live here and can be seen going about their nocturnal activities while you take a ride in open trams that take you around the park.

There are several well marked walking trails that you can take to explore the park.

Flash photography is strictly forbidden so as not to disturb the animals.

Snow tubing - Singapore

Snow tubing

Cold as ice... Snow City - Sentosa Review

At Snow City you can go learn to ski, go snow boarding or snow tubing down an artificial snow covered slope.

The inside temperature is held at around -5C but warm jackets, ski pants and all equipment is included in the fees.

It's a novel way to experience "snow" if you live somewhere where it isn't cold enough to snow otherwise I would probably give give it a miss.

Address: 21 Jurong Town Hall Road, Snow City Building

Directions: Take the MRT to Jurong East & SBS 335 or 66 to Singapore Science Centre. Snow City building is next to the Omni Theatre Building within the Singapore Science Centre area.

Ride the wacky Duck! - Singapore

Ride the wacky Duck!

City and harbour tour without changing seats... Fullerton Hotel Review

Ride in a converted Vietnam War amphibious craft from Suntec City and drive into the water for a scenic harbour tour.

You get great views of the Merlion with the Fullerton Hotel in the background and of the very impressive city skyline.

For a small extra fee you could also have your photo taken on postage stamps to stick on your postcard cards to send to family and friends.

Imagine their surprise when they see your mug stamped and dated in exotic Singapore.

I have added additional photos on a separate Singapore Travelogue.

Address: 7 Temasek Boulevard, #04-01A Suntec City Tower

Directions: You can make advance booking and reservations at the DUCKcounter@Suntec City Mall.

The crocodile man - Singapore

The crocodile man

Singapore's answer to Steve Irwin Crocodile Farm Review

I would recommend that you give this very run down un-"attraction" a very big miss.

Singapore's answer to Steve Irwin is under the impression that visitors to his unfortunate exhibit will want to part with their hard earned money to see him pass a $2 note from his mouth to the croc's mouth.

Most of the dilapidated exhibits were closed and don't look like re-opening any time soon. You can see some crocodiles, a few iguana's and some snakes which you can have your picture taken with for S$10.

Don't come here folks!

Address: 241 Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim, Singapore 629143

Directions: The Jurong Reptile Park is situated just opposite the Jurong Bird Park.

Little India Arcade - Singapore

Little India Arcade

Hustle and bustle Little India Review

In Little India you will find lots of little shops selling flowers, spices, textile, trinkets and heaps of Bollywood DVD's.

There are many Indian restaurants including Komala Vilas which comes with a reputation as one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Singapore. Komala Vilas also sell a large variety of snacks and sweets which satisfied this sweet tooth!

But try to avoid coming here on weekends in Little India as it can be very crowded.

Address: Serangoon road

Directions: Near central Singapore. Bus: 64, 65, 111, 97 or 85 from Orchard Road. There is also Little India MRT station.
