Kuala Lumpur is a city of colourful contrasts with magnificent old colonial buildings, Islamic masterpieces and the Petronas Towers, once the tallest skyscrapers in the world and an icon of the mega projects of the boom '90's.
At first , KL may seem like just another noisy city but if you scratch a little deeper you will find a city with rich traditions and character and friendly locals.
Amidst the noisy, smelly chaos there are huge well stocked shopping malls, stunning modern buildings and a city groaning under the weight of delicious food! |
| | Seen one shop... seen a mall! If you've seen one shop; Then you've really seen ‘em all. But your ringgits will readily rattle; At many a Malaysian mall!

Glad to hear that also vegetarians are catered for :). | kokoryko Sat Sep 20, 2008 21:23 UTC Oh! Here is the handsome King of Malaysia! Very interesting page about KL, Robert; and yes, you cannot starve there, and nasi goreng is one of my favourites when I travel in south east asia. |
