Altenahr is another one of the many charming towns you will discover throughout the Eifel region in Germany. The village lies in the Ahr valley and is hemmed in by steep vineyards set on rolling hills that follow the Ahr River.
The best way to appreciate the views is to take a walk uphill to Burg Are where there is an old tower that overlooks the valley and river down below. |
