i found two backpackers on the karoo's brochure for Graaff Reniet, one was Blue Crane Backpackers and other was Le Jardin, so before i left i emailed to both but both came back as un delivered, so i tried to call Blue Crane first and the number didnt exist so i called that Le Jardin, and the woman who runs that place responded in very friendly way and booked me for the night i asked for. it was the only place which was on per person basis and not the room. it was R 95.00 per person at that time and second cheapest was a room in town for R 265.00 anyway, once i was in Graaff Reniet I called her on her cell phone and she guided me to her place. it was located in very peaceful and clean area, and the town is not so big so one can walk to everywhere around, though its not in the middle of town...
the rooms are double bedded, and everyone has full excess to kitchen for coffee or cooking etc. and tv room.. and she served coffee and cookies next morning..
i would say it was wonderful experience in such money...
the reception area is full of maps and brochures of town and surrounding attractions and every rooms have got the book shelves as well
Unique Qualities: parking inside the yard, and great view of the mountain if you are staying in the room at the road side.. mmm i would say the unique quality is its price
