Considering that it is my hometown I should know it best.
Also known as the Second City, in my opinion we are second to no one. From the magnificent architecture, beautiful Lake Michigan, rich history and delicious cuisine, Chicago stands up to the challenge of any city.
There is always something to do. Sporting events year round offered by the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks and Fire. Fine arts from the Art Institute of Chicago, Symphony Center, Lyric Opera, and playhouses offer world class art, music and theatre.
The cuisine satisfies the hungriest to the most fickle eater. Thick steaks to calm the hungry lion, global cuisine from China, India, Mexico, Italy in quaint neighborhoods.
Don't forget to cruise the Magnificent Mile for some tempting window shopping. |

So excited, must purchase tickets ASAP!!!
Sad, sad news.....landmark department store, Marshall Field's name will change to Macy's. The evil Federated corporation is destroying Chicago history! |
