Be a Medici for a day

Santa Maria dei Fiore
You will feel like you are in Renaissance again as you travel through Florence. The streets are still cobbled, markets are bustling, church bells are ringing.

Welcome to Florence. Birthplace of Dante, Michelangelo Buonarrotti, and seat of power for the di Medici Family in 15th and 16th centuries.

I agree with Dee, your warnings are on the mark, especially for Florence. This really is an interesting city, isn't it?

I love the Duomo picture on your first page. I found it hard to get a good photo of the duomo while I was in Florence. Great page.
