Not a Vespa in sight

by jmhenry1123 - last update: Sep 28, 2004

You don't need more than a day to day and a half to explore the island of Venice. If you have an extra day in this area you can go out to Lido and relax on the beach like a movie star.

Main sights in Venice are easily seen one right after the other because of their proximity.

Nonetheless, Venice is a lovely and unique city and much more calm due to the lack of motorized vehicles. The only way to get around is by boat or foot.

Great hotel tips. I think about 3 days is a good amount to spend in Venice in order to wander, get lost, wander some more. Some grand insights.

GASP! Only "A day to day and a half" for Venice! Bite your tongue, this gorgeous city deserves so much more than that. It's fabulous, sexy and full of charm. I cannot wait to return with my hubby later this year. :) Happy travels!
