Siam Square is another good area to shop. The area is compoud with shops selling clothes, shoes and bags (as well as restaurants). Most of the stuff is local made and many are for high school and university students...Or someone who like to keep up with the trend. Shops are usually open around midday till 8pm.
What To Buy: Fashionable Clothes, bags and shoes.
What To Pay: Price is on the tag. Most shops will give you only 10% discount, even for the locals.

Name of Shop: The Emporium
This mall is a rather expensive place to shop. But if you're a brandname shopper, then go straight there. Other than being an upmarket place, it's a nice place to do window shopping. A good place to have lunch or dinner, since there are quite a few restaurants there as well as a food court. There is also a good bookstore called "Kinokuniya". They have varied sections. It's a big decent bookstore.
What To Buy: Everything from head to toes.
What To Pay: Seems like there is an on sale event every month, at least for the past few months. It's usually happening during the payday week.

Name of Shop: Khao San Road
If you're looking for a cheaper deal on fictions or travel guide books, check out Khao San Road. There are several secondhand book shops along the street.
What To Buy: You can find a travel guide book for your next destination here for like half price. Some of them are still in good condition. Anyway, the price tells. And if you dont want to carry the books you finish anymore, you can also get rid of them here. Sell them to one of those shops.

DKBK Mon Apr 28, 2008 12:39 UTC Good suggestion. But, for tourists stupid enough to hang out in Nana and Patpong, they deserve to pay way more for a taxi. | manuelEB Tue Jun 26, 2007 12:49 UTC Maybe at the end of the day, Budhism is not a religion but a philosophical path... In that case, no problems visiting religious places, including monotheistic stuff. GReat page here! | Flinca Tue Oct 17, 2006 19:05 UTC Hey Arjaree, you look like the girl that took me to Tapas, the bar that you recommended! -FEE | trespa Thu Jul 6, 2006 06:25 UTC Hi Arjaree! I know there is cheap software in Khao San. Will you send to me? I will pay through PayPal! Thank you. Trespa (I just added you as my friend) |
