|  | Things to do (in not particular order...) 1. Porta Portese Market
a great sprawling flea market where you can find anything from a vintage sheep-skin coat to a brand new spork!
2. Piazza del Popolo
north-end of the city where you can sit by the obelisk and admire the twin churches flanking the via del corso. somewhere down the street is goethe's house...steps to the east lead up to the Pincio hill where you can be overwhelmed by the view of san pietro.
3. Domus Aurea (the Golden House)
Otherwise known as 'Nero's Golden Palace', its most remarkable surviving feature is an octagonal court with a double layered dome and open-air occulus. The interior shell was once reputed to rotate--woow!
