"BEAUTIFUL LA GOMERA" a Isla de la Gomera Travel Page by Maramato

Our first visit to this Canary Island. Lots of beautiful walks. An abundance of different types of palm trees and spectacular flowers. A delightful island - quite peaceful - not too touristy. We flew to Tenerife and took the ferry across to San Sebastian - about a 45 minute trip. We hired a car from the port and drove to our accommodation - again, about a 45 minute trip. The road was awesome - very windy but recently resurfaced. In fact, all the roads on Gomera were brilliant. Our first impressions were that this island is beautiful and not that developed. A truly get away from it all sort of place. Indeed, we had a lovely week here and will certainly return.
