I live in Tadworth, Surrey with my husband and 2 children though not children any longer. My son,aged 18, is at Sheffield Uni studying Architecture and my daughter, aged17, is at 6th form college in Reigate. This photo on my home page was taken earlier this month (Nov 05) on the approach road into Tadworth. 6 cygnets have survived the summer though outgrowing the pond where they were born. They will be removed before long.

I have produced a number of pages on Venice - my favourite destination. Have just returned from my 10th trip. I love to travel to Venice and go each year, usually in November. I am looking forward to writing about my experiences and posting photos which I hope will tempt others who have not yet been to this wonderful city.

In Nov 2004 I experienced Aqua Alta in Venice which was quite an adventure. Fortunately, I had wellies with me and was able to venture from my hotel. This year, in contrast, the weather was beautiful with not a drop of rain though cold.

On this site, I will relay my different experiences and hope that I can help others whether it be for restaurant and hotel tips or even some of the delightful shops tucked away from the main centres. Of course, these will be my own personal recommendations and will not suit everyone.
