    • Definitely worth it for the scenery and road trip. Enough game to keep you occupied. Make sure to wear long sleeves as insect spray dont work!
    As many lakes as theree are hills

    • Kiglai & its suburbs are charmingly spread over many hills. Each ville tumbles down the mille collines! where one minute you are in city bustle and the other country bristle.....With 340000 folk this ville has all the charm of an african capital....relax & unwind & check out the nite life!

    • A road trip by minbus: private or local is a must. The scenery all over the countryside is of juxtaposed alpine landscape with bananas! The main roads are very well tarmaced and each turn is picture perfect. this was on my way from Kigali to Ruhengeri

    • In the northwest frontier region of Rwanda the five vocalnoes of the Volcanoes national Park loom upwards into the mist. The neighbouring DCR-Congo and Uganda can be easily reached from here. This is the gateway to the Gorillas and one of the seven wonders of the natural world.....if this is on your hit list visit now! as prices are going up to limit tourist numbers..........

    • Gisenyi on the northern shore of lake KIVU and metres from the Congo border has a tropical laid back feel ; but with cooler temperatures as most of Rwanda is 1500m above sea level. Good place to chillout and have a swim........

    • Kibuye is located at the centre of lake Kivu. Private boats can be hired betweeen the main lake towns at either ends but are expensive! The isles and bay around Kivu are definite worth a jaunt.........really picturesque.

    • The university town of Butare houses the great national museum of Rwanda. It is close to the Nyungwe Forest and the Murambi Memorial. The town is attractive and easily traversed by foot. Definitely worth a few days.......The Palace at Nyanza is on the way to Kigali, but close enough for a day trip........

     Nice page, unfort history is showing us that the VETO power Security Council continues to make Africa a volatile place . . a place that West Govts care nothing about . . On the otherhand, I cant wait to visit this fascinating country :) good job.

     It's so beautiful. I think Rwanda has a great nature. My uncle and his family had lived there for 13 years before they moved to Aruba. Wow, I want to see the alpine landscape with bananas too. It must be an unique experience for you.
