"Akagera National Park" Parc National de l' Akagera by nsbm

With only 1% of the game levels prior to the troubles, Akagera NP is still worth a detour. Elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Giraffe, Impalas, topi and numerous bird and bug life greet you. The guides are available at the park entrance, which can only be reached by private transport. At present it costs u$30 to enter and for this you get a friendly and knowledgeable guide to accompany you thru your motor safari.
The most stunning feature of the Park and even all of Rwanda is that despite being so near the Equator the altitude makes for a transition of vegetative and climatic confusion rising from tropical lushness thru savannah scantiness and alpine alterations. What a site to see sunflowers next to banana fields!!!
