looking at Atlantic Ocean during dinner...

*** I hope my dear VT friends dont think I am ignoring anyone. I am currently busy traveling the US. Trips including Minnesota; Missoui; North Carolina; Texas; Kansas; and Las Vegas...we plan to spend every weekend in a different state for about 3 months...I promise to write after Vegas!!!! JO-----------------------------------------------------------------------
As a child we would get in the station wagon and visit a couple new states every year.
We never got a hotel.As child, memories are different... Worst trip was trying to sleep shaking hard in freezing cold in tent during bad snow storm before finally retreating to car in the Badlands.Favorite as child was seeing the ballroom inside of the White House."Maybe I can have such a big pretty room in my own house one day."..at 8, I actually enjoyed sitting in a bar at 2 a.m. as a family ,drinking pop, waiting for bad rainstorm to pass.... How I would dream of farther places.Only maybe warmer ones!

Funny how things do not change much. We now bring our kids all over America, only in an SUV.We hop in the car and drive all the time.My kids have probably already seen more US states than many adults.
America has it all: woodlands, mountains, lakes, big cities, canyons,beaches,small towns,prairies and farmlands.
The people come from every background, such diversity!
I love our country!
I have traveled most of USA and seen Quebec, Canada.
I hope to build pics to my pages now that I finally have a digital camera.
I am a mom and we have 4 little kids--ages 1 year, 5, 7, and 9 years old. YIKES!

We lived in Colorado,now Iowa, and are planning on moving south in the next few years.If I could just convince kids that snowmen and snowballs are not everything....(not easy! ) So love to hear about Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee and North Carolina and Arizona tips!

I am always shocked that people that come to USA from other countries always visit my least favorite places in America.
I guess we probably do same in their countries.
Hmmmm, must be all the big city touristy hype.
My favorite place in America was Catalina Island off California.
SO romantic, I could live there! There are too many great place to mention.

Just got home from Dominican Republic-north coast and Puerto Plata.Talk about a gorgeous place- I am home 2 weeks and longing to go back!!!

Dreaming of Australia next year.
Planning Ukraine in 2 years-desire to find a daughter in orphanage there ( we live for our kids).I am usually busy on VT reading all your Ukraine pages!

Long term wish list:

-Germany-my grandfather came from here as child-be cool to see my roots
-Ireland-are there more than pubs?Of course, I would have to hit pub before the exploration of this question is fulfilled
-New Zealand-looks gorgeous!My uncles family lived there a year and adored it.
-England-often met some fun jolly people from there!
-Spain-have good friend whom lives in Madrid(she lived at our home for one summer for exchange program 15 years ago), want to see how she lives now.

I am soooo-oo jealous of those travelors with awesome adventures!! The pages on VT are addicting!
Too COOL!

Epcot, Florida

We went to Disneyworld in Florida this year also. Liked alot more than Disneyland (California) only because more theme parks and more water parks. But lodging and food more expensive....read my tips on Orlando page.
