"Whirlwind Tour" San Diego by DrexelDragon

Las Vegas to San Diego in less than 5 hours??? Ehhh...no problem...got a Nissan Maxima rental car? check. Corporate card for food and gas? check. Navigator? check. Map? check. 5:30am wake up call? check. Lastly and most importantly...radar detector? check. All set then, and away we went. A friend and I got up early on a Saturday in Las Vegas and tripped out to San Diego. Ventured around the Bayside Village, the island, downtown, and then caught a Padres game. A+ of a day. The sunshine and the SoCal vibe are true. Combine that with a good lunch and a session at a microbrewery and some more beers and an excellent baseball game and you've got a sweet day.

• Pros:Clean and I found out what the hype is about SoCal.
• Cons:Not long enough stay.
• In a nutshell:If only every day could be as chill and laid back as this summer day...
