  • We have lot of boats on the seine river where you can find restaurants, big parties, cafés with concerts every nights or parties.
You'll find nice boats for night life here :
    * In front of the national library (bibliothèque nationale in french), 13 rd district. You can go to the Batofar, Guinguette pirate ( an old jonk boat that lloks like a pirat boat)
    * In front of the musée d'orsay. You can find there the Concorde-atlantique boat, famous for student parties and house-techno parties
    * Some boats in front of the Eiffel Tower (but not so much). You'll fing there for exemple the Maxim's boat.

  • My favorite bridge. Surely one of the best place to feel magic feeling of Paris. And it's also a perfect placefrom where you can take of picture of the island 'l'ile de la Cite' (see the picture). You'll meet lot of lovers and musicians here.

  • The biggest flea market in Paris is situated in the north of Paris along the ring between Clignancourt and Saint-Ouen entrances. In fact it's a enormous bazar open every saturdays and sundays. You can buy everything here. Come early!!
    Metro : Porte de Clignancourt

  • Do you know that the biggest necropol of the world is in Paris? Quite recent compared to the necropoles of Naples and Rome, it has been built during the 18th century. More than 6 millions people are burried here!! You can visit it, it's really 'off the beaten path' but very interesting.

  • Like every cities, the best way to discover Paris is definitly by walk.
On the Picture, one of my favorite streets in Paris, the street 'Square Montsouris' near the parc Montsouris. Hard to find but wonderful.

  • If you come in Paris, you can't miss the Rue Mouffetard!!!

In the 5th quarter, this is one of the oldest street in Paris. Visit it around 6.30pm and you'll see the market in the street, the old cafés and lot of typical shops.

Click on the 'Rue mouffetard - Jussieu' travelogue to see lot of other pictures.

  • Like lot of cities with a long history we have an antic arena. They're partially destroyed but you can easily reconize the seats and the central place.
Entrance (free) by a door at 49 Rue Monge, métro : Cardinal Lemoine.

Oh, I want to walk this charming street (with a cup of coffee)! Have enjoyed your pages and photos a lot! Merci beaucoup for some helpful information. You are welcome to hoop with me this November, 2008 in Paris!

I've been to Connolly's Corner, too! My name is Connolly & they gave me a free beer because of it (had to show them my passport to prove it - LOL). :>) The d'Orsay is THE best Impressionist museum in the world followed by the Art Institute in Chicago!
