When I arrived in Vietnam, I was already starting to burn on out solo travel. I had been on my own for over two months while traveling throughout South East Asia, and the constant level of awareness required was tiring. While I was in Vietnam, I decided that this one visit would probably be my only visit, but now looking back, I think some of my memorable travel experiences emerged from the time I spent there.

It is truly amazing how inexpensive these two and three day tours can be. I first went on the two day mekong delta tour, and then later went on a single day trip to the Cu Chi tunnels.

For some reason, I really found the apartment architecture appealing in Ho Chi Minh. Though most of the city was dirty, above the ground floor, the apartments appeared to be quite nice with varying colors that gave them lots of diversity. I was told this was a French style, but I am not sure. The aparments that were owned by hostels, for the most part, kept them immaculate. I really enjoyed sitting on my own balcony above the chaotic street scenes below.
