CAMPING IN LEBANON

The 10 million square feet La Reserve is situated on a plateau surrounded by beautiful mountains and offers various eco-activities including rafting, caving, hiking, mountain biking and riding. It is also very affordable: The centre provides four-person tents for US$10 per person (mattresses and pillows are provided but campers must bring a sleeping bag).

Either on foot or on horseback, a three or four day journey through the valley of Adonis to the Cedars can be arranged with a Tour guide who will lead you through the vast Lebanese mountains to a pre-arranged camping site. As you traverse fabulous scenic valleys, rivers and wilderness the awesome history of

La Reserve is generally open from the month of May through to the end of September and offers a number of package tours.

Basic rules of the camping:
- Singles and couples under eighteen years old are not allowed.
- Private tv's and radios are allowed till 22h00 only.
- Cooking and campfires are strictly forbidden.

Beautiful place rich in history! I was captured by the photo from the lagoon in Afqa that featured on the VT main page, and I had to see your writings! Liban is the place I'm dying to go to!
