Located in Upper Lusatia, a short drive from Dresden. Situated along the Spree River, this was a fortified city. It is a unique city, as it was considered a free city in 1250. The community is populated by both German and Sorbian people.
The church, as with most towns, is located in the center of the city. What is unique about it is that it houses two different faiths, Protestant and Luthern (I think).
Here is planning picture of a utility box - painted to match the surroundings. Behind you can see a bit of the wall of the city. I was excited to get this picture and have shared with others. I noted that all over Germany the utility boxes were painted, by different artists.
