Seychelles in brief | Mahe - view from the Mission |
Mahe is the main island. Every plane lands here. From here you can get to Praslin and the smaller islands. In 2003 we stayed just on Mahe and we visited just Moyenne island. This year we decided to stay a few days on Mahe and then fly to Praslin for the rest of our stay.
If you stay on Mahe I recommend to have a day trip around the island. You can book it with one of the travel agents or , like we did, ask a taxi driver and you will get personal service. We paid $ 100.00 for the whole day. It is very interesting experience. Their roads are narrow, very steep and on most of the places there are no barriers on the edge of the road - which is quite scarry.
Mahe is beautiful island with clean beaches, green forests and friendly people - but they are everywhere in the Seychelles. |
