Nightlife Spot: NIght Clubs & bars

In Vienna we have clubs in various historic buildings, in museums, in champagne cellars etc. But these locations change every few months. So, if you want to go out for dancing in Vienna, I recommend you to check out these pages first: www.vienna.at and www.diskothek.at - there you`ll find an event calendar and a lot of party pictures. The age range of people who go to these clubs is maybe between 18 and 40. Entrance fees are usually between 8 and 10 EUR.

Nightlife Spot: Lutz Bar

Lutz Bar opened it`s doors about 1.5 years ago and is in my opinion the nicest bar in this area of Vienna, ideal to start an evening. It is located a bit hidden in the first floor of an old house directly in Mariahilfer Straße. Waiters are friendly, though sometimes a bit confused and slow. Age range is more or less between 20 and 40. They have some light dishes on their menu as well. I can reccomend the goat`s cheese quiche which comes with a salad made of rucola, tomatoes and black olives. The desserts look tempting too.

Nightlife Spot: Strandbar Herrmann

Strandbar Herrmann opened last summer and immediately became very popular. It is located at Donaukanal, a canal going through Vienna. You just have to go down the stairs close to the Urania building. They put some sand there, canvas chairs, umbrellas and tables. They sell drinks at 2 stands. It is quite popular to go there immediately after work- very often they have Djs there from 6 p.m. on. It is No. 2 on the list of the 25 "hottest clubs" worldwide- at least according to Condé nast traveler magazine :).

Nightlife Spot: Halle

"Halle" is located in Museumsquartier, in the premises of the historic winter riding arena- therefore the building is great, with high, stuccoed ceilings. They change their interieur quite often, at the moment they have grass green cosy lounge sofas. It is where people typically go right after work, around 7 p.m., but also on weekend it is quite crowded till late with a lot of beautiful people and loud music. Food is also good (the owner is Bernd Schlacher, the same guy who owns the restaurant "Motto" in 5th district), I would say it is the best place to eat in Museumsquartier and staff is friendly and quite fast.
