Stylish 5 stars and other Vienna, Austria Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

After surviving an emergency landing back in Vienna, I had the chance to stay one night for free in a hotel - and I chose the Meridien. It is located perfectly at Opernring, maybe a 5 minutes walk to the opera house and Kärntner Straße. It might be an old building, but inside you`ll find modern, chic design. The room was- although located to a patio- very bright. It had a huge flatscreen and a cosy sofa. The use of mini bar is free of charge (nothing expensive in it anyway, just soft drinks and a beer :)). The bathroom had a free-standing bath tub and a shower. Unfortunately the water coming from the shower soaks the floor of the bath room and even the bedroom - they should work on that. Of course there is a high-speed internet connection. The only thing I could complain about was the bed, which was super small - apart from that everything was perfect. Also the breakfast - it was excellent and with a huge choice of delicious things. There is also a Spa and restaurants. Regular room price is EUR 500 per night - I am rather sure they have some cheaper internet or company rates available.
