this is the pennisula from air - the sea on one side the lagoon on another. The airstrip runs between the two so hang on!!
Placencia beach
The clear waters of the carribean. Placencia is a known water destination, the beach is one of the better ones in Belize and at most times quite empty. The water is always perfect temperture. Be warned that once away from the bigger hotels the beach is left in it's natural state - this being seaweed and in some places garbage.
- Pros:Slow paced
- Cons:Can be expensive compared to other Central American destinations
- In a nutshell:Easy access to water fun

Hello YolandaC Nice pictures and tips. I was in Placencia in late March. Sailed out to the islands and stayed at the Raguana Inn for a few days. Hope to go back one day. Also did the Jungle and Mayan tour. Good Luck on your travels Allan
