Innsbruck Innsbruck is arguebly one of my favourite cities I have visited so far. Stuck in a valley between two mountain ranges in the Austrian Alps.
You can get cable cars to both mountain ranges... both well over 2,400 meters above sea level. The southern ranges are great for a mountain walk in the summer. You can also view the aircraft coming into the valley and performing a u-turn within the valley before they land at Innsbruck International Airport.
About a quarter of the way up on the northen range, you can visit Europe's highest zoo... pretty cool.
I loved this place... even the model train museum in the city. Have a rest inside and have your beverage delivered via a model train!
