Trinidad has been one of UNESCOs World Heritage sites since 1988.
Trinidad was founded in 1514 by Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar. It's one of the best preserved cities in the Caribbean from the time when the sugar trade was the main industry in the region. These days, its main industry is tobacco. The older parts of town are well preserved.
It's a lively town at night also, which is a great place to put your dancing shoes and do some Salsa dancing!
You will notice in the photo of the CUC25, which consists the cathedral Iglesia Parroquial de la Santisima Trinidad, which was built between 1817 and 1892. It was the largest church in Cuba. I took the photo hoping to get as close to what the coin has as possible.

- Pros:Fun town, cheap cigars
- Cons:Cannot think of any currently
- In a nutshell:I felt I saw more of the Cuban culture here

Joseph-sounds like Trinidad was fun ! I love dancing too-but I guess I will never have the pleasure of Salsa!
Hmmm, I've never tried La Canchanchara, now I really have no option but to go back to Cuba. Again, great tips and pics!
