  • I was quite excited to see The Eiffel Tower and it was worth to wait: I went up once during the evening and once during the day and made 100s of pictures...an amazing and unforgettable experience! Highly recommended! :)

Price to the 3rd floor is 10,70 EUR. Don't bother with the price to the 1st or 2nd floor, if you are there you just have to go up to the top!! :)

However, don't miss to visit these two "stops" either, they can provide a diferent view on the city and on the tower itself as well!

  • Arc de Triomphe - another thing not to miss during your Paris visit, no question about it.

Take a look at it from the end of Champs Elysées, get there by the subway (Do never try to cross the craziest roundabout of Paris! :) and walk around to see "La Marseillaise" the Tomb of the unknown soldier and the building itself.

Take the time to walk up to have a beautiful view of the Champs Elysées, Place de la Concorde, Tour Eiffel (obviously :) and the whole city. If you walk around you can see all the 12 (!) avenues and streets starting from the Place Charles de Gaulle.

There is also an exposition about the history and the construction of the Arc inside the building.

Price of the visit to the top is 7 EUR. Other prices and more details on the homepage.

  • Champ Elysées being a real (and huge) avenue gives an excellent view on the Arc.

Worth to do the walk from Place de la Concorde and stop by once in a while in the middle of the street to check out this view! :)

  • Under the Arc de Triomphe there is a tomb for all the french soldiers who lost their lives in the WW1.

French people do take care of their past: there is always fresh flower near the tomb.

  • The Avenue de Champs Elysées is one of the greatest avenues in the world. It's always full of life, with plenty of shops, restaurants and other entertainment possibilities.

However it seems to be a bit unbalanced for me, since the left side (as seen on the picture from the Arc) is always full of people while the right side is - well not empty, but certeanly a lot less crowded...:)

Notre Dame de Paris: Notre Dame de Paris, a Church on the Isle

  • Notre Dame de Paris - the widely known Church of Paris. A must see, a place to rest, a good viewing point and a good entrance on the "Ile", the Island in the heart of Paris.

On the place of previously existing churches, Notre Dame's construction started in 1163 and lasted almost 200 years (it was finished in 1345). The main part of the building however was ready around 1250.

387 steps lead to the top of the south tower, which is worth to visit, it gives a beautiful view of the Ile and it's sorroundings (and the whole city...) and that's where the famous Emmanuel bell is located.

Entrance to the Church is free, access to the tower is aroung 6 EUR (free with the Museum Card!).

That's a very unique, fantastic perspective of the Louvre's pyramid. Not many of us can view it from above, thanks for sharing.
