The Imperial City - Fes

by Sambawalk - last update: Aug 5, 2006

The oldest of the imperial cities, Fes is the symbolic heart of Morocco. The medina of Fes el-Bali is one of the largest living medieval cities in the world. The UNESCO designates Fes medina as a world heritage site. Be sure you spend at least two days in the wonderful city. If posible, stay in the medina and get a feel of the old medieval city.

Great pictures of Fes and very helpful tips. I'd have liked to stay in the Medina too though I think most of the best hotels were in the Ville Nouvelle.
