Pigeon rock is the most famous and the only natural feature of Beirut. Situated in the west coast of Beirut city, you should visit in the late afternoon, to be in time for the sunset. There are many locals, particular overseas workers hanging around the area during public holiday. |
| | You can go down to the lower cliffs by following a track from the southern side of the rocks. In addition, you can take the "water taxi" to tour around the rocks for few minutes. |
| | My Lebanese friends I met them when I was in Aleppo, Syria one week before I arrived Lebanon. We contacted again while I was in Beirut. They took me downtown Beirut and explained the history and the renovation project of the post-civil war Beirut. In addition, we went for pub hopping in one night and home gathering in another night.
What an experience in a foreign land! Thanks Lebanon! |
