The Treasury or Al Khazneh, is arguably Petra's most spectacular, and the most photgraphed sigh in Jardon. In my opinion, it is.
Much of the Petra's fascination comes from its setting on the edge of Wadi Araba, a land of sheer and rugged sandstone hills. Access to Petra and the Treasury is through As-Siq, a narrow winding cleft in the rock anything from 2m wide to 200m deep.
Petra is often called as a Rose City. The sun light makes this place even more fascinating as the color of the sandstone changes during the different time of the day.
I bought one day rticket which costs JD11. If you have time, you should get the 2-day pass for JD13 or 3-day pass for JD15. Dont' underestimate the size of Petra and the heat . Always take a good hat, water, pack your lunch, sun glass and sun screen. I covered most of the areas within 1 day. But you are not so fit to walk up and down or walking around the ruins, then you should consider to go for 2 days. Plan your trip and itinerary around Petra properly to make efficient use of your time.
