I joined a 3-day trekking trip to Kanchanaburi areas from Khao San Road. The trip include Kanchanaburi, train ride on the original part of the death railways from am Tok, Sai Yok NP, Erawan NP, Elephant camp and ride, bamboo raft, tiger temple. We stayed in the floating raft hotel with attached bathroom. Inclusive of food, transport and accomodation, we paid around 900-950 baht. It is really worth.
You should note there are at least 2-3 different types of multi-day trips from Khao San Road, some of them stay in tree house instead of floating raft. As such, the price of the trips are also different. Pick the one that you want to experience the most.
You can see various pics in the page or the separate travelogues.
Enjoy. |
| | Original Death Railway A must train ride for 1-3 day trippers. Remmeber to gert a good seat on the right side of the train. |
| | Morning Bath with Elephant My Swedish fellow travellers were having good time bathing with elephants. |

aukahkay Fri Sep 15, 2006 05:26 UTC The River Kwai Bridge reminds me of my military training in Sai Yok Camp in 1999. Kanchanaburi town was an hour's drive from the camp and was the only thing to look forward to! | CandS Sat Aug 6, 2005 22:31 UTC Nice photos...
