McLeod is actually central part of the town called Dharamshala. That is the home town of Dalai Lama and due to that it is always full with pilgrims, monks and people who are studying yoga.
I really enjoyed my stay in there, place is really peaceful and we were lucky because at the moment Dalai Lama wasnt in town and it was quiet empty and cozy.

Having lived in McCleod-ganj and Sidhpour, near Norbulinka Institute, the monkeys are prone to steal anything they can! From food to clothes, even coming into unlovked homes! Be warned! And they bite!
