As very good friends of mine are living in St. George (hi sweeties :-), whenever I visit them, I do my exploring of the county.
As Kathy also very much likes hiking, she joined me whenever she could on those little trips.
Snows Canyon is a very nice place to do quiet hiking, in a stunning landscape.
Join us on our little hike in my Snow Canyon travellouge, if you like.
- Pros:incredible colorful little known state park
- Cons:(not that I know of any)
- In a nutshell:magic colors of the desert :-)

Wanted to check out an area in USA that I've not visited, and it was great to see the perspective of someone outside the states. Great observations and attention to detail.
A very different state park eh! I have never heard of it before. Does look like you enjoyed your time here and liked the lichens.
What a lovely Canyon. There is nothing more beautiful than enjoying the outdoors and the appreciate for nature. Nice page Ingrid!
No snow in Snow Canyon... But lucky you that you have a friend living nearby. Great colours - always fascinating in the South West. Sissi
Hi Ingrid, beautiful photos on your tips and travelogue. This looks like yet another fine hiking area.
Thanks for your kind words on my Death Valley Page. Snow Canyon looks like another scenic and quiet spot in the southwest. Another nice page with great descriptions and pictures!
Love all this red rock, Ingrid. Always nice to explore your friends' backyard. This will be my first time there in spring so hoping for some wild, wild flowers. :)
