Marvellous decoration at doorway arches

Favorite thing: Sorry that I only have one photo to show what I want to describe, but the weather wasn’t that brilliant and I did only look and forget to take the camera out of my backpack.
It seems that these kinds of decorative stones at the top of doorway arches are very popular. Many of these are old and many seem to show symbols of the groups of people who might have lived there. For example there is a road with several rows of townhouses which all have a shepherd theme in their door stones. So lovely. In Munich’s town centre there are many stones with reference to merchandising, and even the many statues of saints and especially Madonna statues at the corner of houses.
Make sure to just walk around the town when the weather is good. "Doorway arch stone hunting" is very rewarding :-)
