  Hello Ingrid, you have updated this page considerably since I last looked in 2010. I haven’t been to Munich recently, though for about twenty years I used to go there quite regularly on business.

  Hi Ingrid. Your opening photo was captivating. I like the way you describe things!. I only spent one night in Munich after some scheduling problems and really didn't get to see very much. It does look like an amazingly clean, beautiful city. I would certainly agree with you that the airport is wonderful, but i didn't find them to be very honest about free wifi:)

Sorry to hear that they are not honest about free wifi. I didn't try it, but will check once I have something to check (I'm the dinosaur when it comes to gadgets, but ... in my new life I need to go "mobile")

  I enjoyed your Munich page, Ingrid! We still need to get back there and see some more of this city (the Deutsches Museum!) and you've given me some ideas! Of course, one day maybe I will finish my own Munich page that I've started and seem to have abandoned :-) Fun reading since I can hear your voice in my head as if you are actually reading it to me ;-) ~Brenda

    Oh dear Brenda, thanks for your sweet compliment :-) Especially that you hear me reading this :-)) Yes, go back, there is so much to see and explore :-) Oh and take these photos I missed to take more of, the doorway arches! And let me know what you think about Deutsches Museum! I wish so much they would have time, people and money to make it brilliant again!

  Oh, I should go back to Munich one day! We saw so little of it when we passed through some years ago, and what we saw was mostly closed for a public holiday :-( Your Italian restaurant find sounds great, and the beer place with the huge parrot too :-)

  Hey, what kind of dog is that? It looks a little like a Malinois, but not a "pure" one??
  Like Sarah, I am waiting until this page will be finished :-) I went to Munich only once and would love to visit again, it is very high on my wish list.

    Mein Onkel hat übrigens einen Malinois und für den spiele ich auch öfter am WE oder in den Ferien Hundesitter :-)) Deshalb ist mir gleich das Foto aufgefallen! :-)

  Ingrid, great that you were able to link up with Richie and D on your visit to Munich! The Villa Flossländle restaurant sounds interesting and excellent info on the city transport system too. I'm glad to hear that Richie found a good beer guide!

  Funny illumination for the beer garden :) Oh, bookshops, I can spend hours :) It seems you guys had a lot of fun that weekend, exploring cefés and restaurants... Villa Flossländle looks quite nice. Let's wait what Richie tell us about the food and beer :)
