| Green valley of Uspallata |
Uspallata is a tiny little town west of Mendoza, nicely settled in the fantastic Cordillera.
You pass by when travelling by bus from Argentina / Mendoza to Chile / Santiago, but it is worth a separate visit.
To my surprise (or not surprise later on), I have learned that the movie "7 years in Tibet" was done here.
But watching and experiencing the mountains, it is clear that there could not have been another region for it.
But still - it is Uspallata, with it's own character, restaurants, shops and atmosphere :-) |
