Ingrid, your accommodations experience sounds like a real adventure that turned out well in the end! I'm sure it is one you will never forget! Sounds like some of the crazy things I did when hitch-hiking in Tanzania.

A lovely find, Ingrid. Who needs mosquito repellent when I have D, the mozzie magnet.

Yes, a night in Uzbek chaikhana is something what one would remember the rest of one's life, haha! Thanks Ingrid for an amusing story!

Great story about how these people went out of their way to help you. I'm sure you are right in describing yourself as a "hardcore traveller".

That is a great story! One of the best things with travelling is all the kind and helpful people one meet.

It is a great pleasure to read about your adventures! Just one joke for French speakers : in a country where silk worms are raised Qo'qon sounds like "cocon" which in French means "cocoon"!

You are a true traveler. I wish that I had the guts to go to the places that you do. Keep up with the stories; those personal experiences are priceless.
