I Love Japan

I'm The One Crouching

These Bloody Dangly Bits Keep Getting In The Way

I've been living in Japan for the past twelve years . I'm F.I.L.T.H or Failed In London, Try Honshu. Pick a question, any question, and I'm sure to have an answer for you. Interested in finding out what the average salaryman keeps in his penpot? Fancy investing in the used geta business? Ever wondered what women actually wear under their kimono? Read about unsuspecting foreigners getting winded in the stomach by automatic taxi doors. It's not all sushi and it certainly isn't all work, work, work. Visit the safest place on earth and get a taste of a country that is all about respect.

Joseph in the Jungle

We don't all live in apartments. Since coming to Japan, I've managed to score 3 houses - all rent free! My friends, on the other hand, wallow in 2-room flats akin to a hamster cag- without the cool tunnel accessory!
As you can see, we b-b-q too but instead of huge slabs of meat we prefer more delicate cuts.
Ooh, a garden! My garden used to be beautiful. Bonsai everywhere. Look what happened to it. The bloke who I took over the house from told me to 'spray the leaves each weekend'. Yeah, right! I went clubbing instead and look what happened!
Okazaki Chainsaw Massacre

The Garage Is Full Of Rubbish...

This is what happens when you choose clubbing over gardening. Finally, after having neighbors make comments like, "Hmmm, my house foundations are being affected by the roots from that tree of yours" and " Where is your front door again?' I gave in and bought a chainsaw and had a good old buzz in the garden. Handy Hint #1 - Never try to cut down bamboo with a chainsaw.

Pros:"Extremely safe. If you lose your wallet, it will be returned to you with more money in it!"
Cons:"Your wallet looks really cheap compared to the wallets of the average Samurai."
In A Nutshell:"Not China."
