Jastarnia Travel Guide: 11 reviews and 66 photos
Jastarnia is the second largest (after Hel) town on the Hel Peninsula. Here the peninsula becomes wider, allowing for more boarding houses, recreation centres and various amenities to be built. Like all the other places on the peninsula, Jastarnia has spacious beaches all along the coast and, with all the guesthouses and tourist centres, is overcrowded in summer. The most interesting part of the town is the area around the church with some traditional fishermen's cottages and narrow streets. Being a port, Jastarnia also has its own lighthouse built in 1949.
- Pros:The sandy beaches, the interesting port, cruises on the bay
- Cons:Overcrowded and rather noisy in the summer months
- In a nutshell:Worth a visit but not a stay if you like peace and closeness to nature

The water setting and fishing culture are wonderful to see and read of the history. YOu did a great job of showing this village.
The fishing boats in the port remind me of home! Nice page. and new updates. I especially liked the pictures of the church interior.
This is a lovely village as well! I hope that they keep the old houses, they are so beautiful! What a shame that the custodian in the one museum doesn't like his work, but the other one seems to make up for this. Love the Kashubian art!
Jastarnia looks like a pleasant coastal town. Your presentation in text and photos is very good.
What a charming little town Jastarnia is with its fishing harbour, lighthouse and fisherman's cottage. Fresh fish and chips sounds yummy.
All looks enticing around here especially the Fisherman's Cottage :) You must let me into the secret of adding 8 photos I do like small coastal places!!
Thank you for the nice little tour of Jastarnia - I love small coastal villages like this too! Looking at a VT map of its location on that long and narrow spit of land was interesting too. Now I must find out more about those 'Kashubs'!
I always like places with bilingual signs, and this sounds like another nice one, as least in the off-season.
Very good and accurate tips. Well, I think that it's better to visit Jastarnia in say May or September than in high summer season.
I just love these pretty little Baltic fishing ports. They have such a wonderful atmosphere and are so pleasant to walk around and explore.
