Little village on a great fjord

by evaanna - last update: Sep 10, 2005

The road leads down to Aurlandsfjord
Undredal is a tiny village on Aurlandsfjord amidst the high mountains with just one road branching to it from the road between Gudvangen and Flam. The area around it is wild and uninviting but unbelievably beautiful. To get to the village you drive along a mountain valley with high mountains on both sides. The village is at the end of the road and here the view opens onto the expanse of the fjord.

Beautiful photo taken from the ferry -- again magnificent scenery -- the journey there sounds a delight as well.
