Nusnas is a small village on lake Siljan, east of Mora. It is famous for one thing - its manufactory of the so called dalahastar, red wooden horses with floral patterns that no Swedish home can do without. See my tip for a view of the workshop inside.

Yeah, Motels are OK, but your log cabin on Lake Siljan is much better I would think.

I hope I can make it that high up north (haha, not much north in fact) this summer. I want to see Lake Siljan and visit Dala horse factory :-) The little cabin looks cute!!

Thank you for telling about the Dala horses. I am ashamed that though I went twice in Sweden, I did not know about it!
