Adelaide- King William Street Fountain
I only spent a short time in Adelaide a few years ago, for a family wedding, and we only had a couple of spare days, so with limited time there we were not able to explore Adelaide very thoroughly.

While I was there though, I was still able to admire this pleasant and gracious city, which to me retains the feeling of a large country town.
Glenelg Tram

Exploring the City

Only a short walk away from where we were staying just outside the city is Adelaide's only remaining tram line, which we used to travel to the seaside town of Glenelg Beach and back into Adelaide's southwest. From there you can easily walk to the city centre and explore the Adelaide city block on foot, which only takes a couple of hours to walk around. We discovered some very unique little shops around the city, in particular a music shop which sold some very interesting music memorabilia and live video footage of some of my favourite bands, which I have not seen sold anywhere.
Adelaide Hills- Hahndorf

Adelaide Hills

The day after the wedding a group of us piled into a mini-bus and headed out to the township of Hahndorf for the day. Hahndorf is located in the picturesque Adelaide Hills and is renowned as the premier tourist town for the region. Some of the people in the bus were a bit worse-for-wear from the big night before, and some were sleeping, but when they could manage to keep an eye open the view of the countryside along the way was also worthwhile.

There are few places in Australia where you can drive through typically Australian countryside and, quite suddenly, enter a world that seems to have been lifted from Central Europe.
