As a local and my family is from the outback, I have seen this show and believe it is well worth your while to check it out. It's a one of a kind extravaganza of a one and a half hour action packed outback show featuring wild horses, stampeding cattle, an array of bush vehicles and an unforgettable display of horsemanship. As well as a 3 course Aussie BBQ dinner, you also receive as part of the entry ticket, all you can drink beer, wine or soft drink during the show as well as a free Stockmen’s hat! The show runs nightly, from Tuesday to Sunday, inside a giant 1000 seat enclosed arena.

Sea World has two of the best animal exhibits in Australia- Polar Bear Shores & the new Shark Bay. Both of these exhibits are world class. There are some pretty cool dolphin, seal and skier shows also worth seeing. The rides at Sea World are fairly average, the Corkscrew Rollercoaster is the only one worth riding. $58 for Adults $37 for Children (4-13yrs)

Warner Bros. Movie World has some decent rides, a live action show, movie exhibit and street parades. The Lethal Weapon and Scooby Doo Rollercoaster are the best of the rides. The Wild West Falls ride is okay also. *New Ride: Movie World is set to launch its most awesome new ride on December 26th 2005 – The Superman Escape! Superman Escape will be an extraordinary rollercoaster ride experience, which travels 0 – 100 kilometres in just 2 seconds! The Police Academy Stunt Show has been there from the opening of Movie World. It is a great show to see once, but I think they need to expand and make some new shows. The movie exhibit changes about every 12 months or so, currently they have the Matrix Exhibit. It is a walk-through experience with a display of original sets, props and costumes. Kids will love the Street Parade where you have the chance to party with all your favourite Warner Bros. characters including the all the Looney Tunes characters and the Scooby-Doo gang. Throughout the day, you'll also have the chance to meet and have your photo taken with our resident Hollywood superheroes and superstars including Marilyn, Batman and the entire Looney Tunes Gang! $58 for Adults $37 for Children (4-13yrs)

Along the busiest stretch of the Gold Coast is Surfers Paradise, a great spot for families with its perfect swimming beach. The Surfers Paradise beach can get very crowded though, so if you are willing to go a bit further north or south you will find some less populated beaches all along the coast. Free beach volleyball competitions offer fun for all ages, while the nearby cafes and shopping areas make it easy to take a break from the beach. The Paradise Centre on the main shopping street Cavill Ave, has enough games and rides to keep everyone entertained. Every Friday night a craft market is set up along the beach esplanade where you can find quality handicrafts and gifts.

A place to go with many things to do in the Gold Coast hinterland is Oreillys. You can feed the wild birds, go for walks across the tree tops and experience the breathtaking views over the rainforest canopy, go on guided bush hikes through many spring fed mountain streams. It's just a great place to go and get away from the city for a while and breath in the fresh forest air.

Tamborine Mountain is a unique tourist destination that has some of the most beautiful scenery in the Gold Coast Mountain Range. The sunsets and waterfalls are a photographers delight. With an abundance of guesthouses, cottages, bed and breakfast, family and resort accommodation, Tamborine Mountain is an ideal base for visiting local attractions. It is also a great getaway for locals. Apart from the several nearby national parks, there are award winning wineries, art and craft galleries, antique shops, markets, cafes and award winning restaurants. Gallery Walk at Eagle Heights takes you through the studios, craft shops and galleries of the artistic community.

Directions: Tamborine is about 35km from Southport via the Pacific Highway and the Tamborine-Oxenford Road or 27km from Nerang via the Nerang-Tamborine Road.

Situated on Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast Hinterland, this cluster of galleries and craft shops provides a wealth of diverse art and craft including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, porcelain, glass, jewellery, woodwork, fabrics and much more. From fine art to the frivolous, you will find something to suit all tastes and budgets. You can enjoy coffee, light refreshments or lunch at one of the fine restaurants and cafes. I recommend the Country Garden Cafe for an ejoyable lunch. Allow plenty of time for your visit because there is so much to see and do on Gallery Walk, but be sure to make time to see the natural beauty and other features of Tamborine Mountain.
