Cairo We've stayed for 10 days in Cairo, Egypt and have enjoyed it enormously. The city has lovely sites, the people are very friendly and it is busy or very busy. After arriving early in the afternoon, we went Khan Al-Kalili in the evening. We visited Saqqara, Dasjur and Memphis the first whole day. In the afternoon we went to Coptic Caïro. |
Islamic Caïro The next day we visited the Egyptian Museum and walked to Zamalek to do some shopping and site seeing. On Saterday we had a rest day - or at least, i had. Sunday we visited Islamic Caïro. |
Gardens and deserts Monday I returned to the Egyptian Museum to look in detail at some artifacts and browse the other rooms. The next day I saw some gardens: the botanical garden, the zoo and the Manial Palace garden. Then I had a trip into the desert, to Wadi Al Rayan. Friday the Citadel and again Islamic Caïro, We finished with the pyramids at Gizeh and a felluca trip. |
